What does JD love most about nature?

As the child of an Active Duty soldier, JD loves that nature is everywhere we go. He has moved 7 times in his 7 years and loves that no matter what changes, he can always count on nature to be there. "There are always cool things to discover and interesting plants to see!" JD is amazed by the variety of nature he's encountered while living on 3 acres in middle America, coastal CA, and even in the middle of a big city!

What is JD's favorite animal—and why?

"I love reptiles! Snakes and lizards. Their eggs can be basically any shape and no other animal has the same scales. There are so many varieties. They have a different type of beauty that most people don't notice. My favorite is probably the Anole because the males have super cool throat sacs."

What is JD's favorite outdoor activity?

"I really enjoy building forest forts to hang out in and building habitats for catching and studying bugs, frogs, or whatever else I find."
