When hiking, Jaxon will be sure to rush ahead of the group to give himself extra time to check under a log or rock to see what he can find. Speaking of rocks, he has quite the collection going in his room of all his favorites that he has found along the way, with a special collection of "heart" shaped rocks for mom. Jaxon's excitement for the outdoors spreads through all.
Jaxon' favorite animal is an Elk. Elk are commonly spotted here in the PNW and we have seen them many times on hikes or during our travels. Jaxon said he loves Elk because of the sound they make, their shaggy manes, and their antlers. Jaxon has a stuffed animal Elk "Elkie" that he sleeps with every night.
Jaxon loves climbing rocks, more specifically when the top of the trail involves a scramble. He is over the top, no pun intended, when he gets to pick his own routes and challenge himself to scaling the rocks. He also loves glisading during snow travel and calls the chutes, "slides". He will take every opportunity to see how far he can go down the trail.
