Learn moreHe loves how many creatures there are to see and hear. You will find him in any nearby water from lake to puddle observing nature. Add some dirt to dig in, and that makes for a great day!
Outside of our pet rescue dog, he chooses the eastern red spotted newt. He found this specific newt in a small pond on our property. He researched with his dad until he could identify it. He is fascinated with their unique 3 stage life cycle, and is currently waiting for the newts in our pond to change color as they enter their red eft stage. During this stage, they live on land, before returning to water and once again changing color during their adult stage.
Jase loves camping in a tent, hiking, looking for wildlife, fishing, and listening for bird sounds to identify. Winter comes with sledding and playing in the snow, while feeding and watching for different birds. Spring comes with time to play at the pond, help with a vegetable garden, and identify animal tracks of deer, turkey, raccoon, and more. Summer brings time at the lake, and chances to see an osprey or eagle! Fall is great for hiking, and a great time for spotting more wildlife!
