With straight-A smarts, a heart of gold, and a wild love for nature, my kid’s basically a Junior Ranger already—just needs the badge!
Thank you for generously supporting Jameson in this year’s competition. Your participation helps empower the National Wildlife Federation in their mission to protect wildlife, restore habitats, and inspire the next generation of conservationists.
What is Jr. Ranger?
Learn moreIf you ask my 9-year-old what he loves about nature, he’ll tell you it’s like a giant outdoor video game—except with bugs, mud, and zero Wi-Fi. He’s obsessed with climbing trees like they’re boss levels, collecting weird rocks like rare loot, and sneaking up on squirrels like he’s on a stealth mission. Basically, if it crawls, squawks, or looks remotely gross, he’s into it. Nature is his playground, his science lab, and his excuse to come home covered in dirt and questionable smells.
His favorite animal is the shark—not because it’s scary, but because it’s basically the superhero of the ocean.
Camping and exploring and the woods.
