He thrives in the mountains—hiking creeks, flipping rocks to find critters, climbing boulders, and exploring untouched areas where no one else goes. He loves swimming in wild water and sleeping under the stars without a tent. Nature gives him peace and adventure all at once—it’s where he feels most alive.
James loves ocean animals because they’re so interesting, even though he’s mostly explored tide pools so far. He also loves reptiles and amphibians because he can safely catch and observe them for a few days in his tank. His favorites to find are king snakes, bull snakes, garter snakes, Woodhouse toads, American bullfrogs—both adults and tadpoles. He loves learning from them up close!
James doesn’t have just one favorite outdoor activity—he loves them all! Camping, long hikes, creek hikes, flipping rocks to find critters, riding bikes, kayaking, fishing—he’s happiest when he’s outside exploring. Each adventure brings something new, and he never gets tired of discovering what nature has to offer.
