What does Jacob love most about nature?

Jacob’s favorite thing about nature are birds, bugs, and discovering new things while digging in the dirt. He is known for being the first for spotting birds of prey in tree snags or dandelions ready to be picked and wished upon.

What is Jacob's favorite animal—and why?

Jacob’s favorite animal is the giraffe. The giraffe is his favorite because they have “a long neck to get leaves from way up high in trees.”

What is Jacob's favorite outdoor activity?

Jacob loves backyard birding. He has learned quite a few species of birds that come through our yard and can even identify some of them just by the song, like the chickadee. His favorite bird is the cardinal. He also loves the butterflies that visit our yard. The monarch, which he refers to as the “Gammy Butterfly” is his favorite , because his late grandmother taught him all about them from egg, caterpillar, chrysalis to butterfly. He enjoys picking out and planting native plants.
