What is Jr. Ranger?
Learn moreIsla loves watching the birds sing in the trees and eat on our bird feeders. She loves planting flowers and gardening with her mom, learning all the names of plants and insects, asking what each insect’s “job” is. Isla also loves to clean up the earth and is an advocate against littering, letting everyone know “we have to keep the earth clean and Mother Nature will be happy”.
Isla loves flamingos because she thinks they are so fancy! She loves how they stand on one leg like they’re doing a special pose, almost like they’re ballerinas. One of her favorite things about flamingos is that they are pink, her favorite color. Sometimes she pretends to be a flamingo, standing on one leg and stretching her arms like wings. To her, flamingos are magical, beautiful, and just a little bit silly, and that’s exactly why she loves them so much.
Isla loves to go to her grandma’s house and play in the creek. She likes splashing in the water, finding special rocks, and looking for tiny fish or frogs. She says the water feels “cold and tickly” on her toes. She loves pretending she's on a treasure hunt or exploring a secret world. The creek is her happy place where she can be messy, curious, and free to explore nature all around her!
