My 4 year-old daughter would make a perfect Junior Ranger because of her deep love for animals and nature. From tiny insects to big birds.

Receive Text UpdatesHi! My name is Isla and I’m four years old. I want to be a Junior Ranger because I love nature more than anything! When I’m outside, I feel happy and free, like I can explore forever. My favorite part of nature is all the wildflowers and animals. I don’t need a garden—I love finding them out in the wild, where they grow and live just the way they’re supposed to.I think wildflowers are like little surprises from the Earth.
I love hyenas because they’re super fast and really fierce! They can run so fast across the grass, and they’re not scared of anything. I think that’s really cool. But what I love most is that hyena mommies really love their babies. They take care of them, cuddle them, and keep them safe. Even though hyenas are tough, they’re also really sweet to their little ones. I think that’s special—being strong and loving at the same time. That’s why hyenas are one of my favorite animals.
I love to play in the water, especially when it’s splashing and cool on my feet! I like jumping in puddles and watching little streams move around the rocks. Sometimes I pretend I’m a fish or a frog swimming in the wild. When I’m done playing, I look for pretty wildflowers to pick for my mommy. I choose the brightest ones and carry them carefully so they don’t get squished. It makes me happy to give her something from nature that I found all by myself!
