Receive Text UpdatesHer current fascination is the importance of apex predators to our environment after watching a video about the efforts to clone Dire Wolf pups. She is enjoying her understanding that there is no such thing as a “bad” animal and that they all serve an important role in a healthy ecosystem. She is also incredibly interested in bugs and their role in our garden. Her favorite is the pill bug and its ability to help cleanse the soil of heavy metals!
She loves all big cats, including the snow leopard, tigers and cheetahs. She’s very concerned with their endangerment and human beings role in the cause and solution to that. She is currently concocting a plan with her friends to sell lemonade to make money for various charities devoted to these creatures.
Iris loves to play in the dirt! I often find her in our garden watching the millipedes, lady bugs, pill bugs and even worms work their magic. She loves sharing her knowledge of these creatures and their importance on the playground.
