What does Harlan love most about nature?

What Harlan loves most about nature is discovering the amazing variety of creatures God created. From the tiniest insect to the largest animal, each one has unique and special traits. He enjoys learning about them all and finds joy in sharing that knowledge with others.

What is Harlan's favorite animal—and why?

Harlan’s favorite animal right now is the black rat snake—it changes weekly! He once held one he found in our yard. He loves it because “they swallow stuff whole” and finds it fascinating how they move and climb so easily without any legs.

What is Harlan's favorite outdoor activity?

Harlan’s favorite outdoor activity is exploring nature in our yard, hunting for insects and lizards. He also enjoys searching for crawdads and salamanders in the creek. After school, he heads outside to see what new creatures he can discover.
