What does Gwen love most about nature?

Gwen is so connected to nature. When we are out hiking, she’ll stop & watch an animal or bug & learn about their habits just by watching. She’s so curious, & nature is where this curiosity gets fulfilled. Often times she’s “saving” bugs, or building them homes in the dirt & trees, as all creatures deserve a home on this planet, as she says. Or just soaking up the sun. Being outdoors is where she thrives. She just smiles brighter after being in nature.

What is Gwen's favorite animal—and why?

Gwen LOVES Elephants! Her personality is quite relatable to them. When I asked her why she loves Elephants so much, this is what she had to say…. Elephants have their own Air Conditioner in their ears, & I like being cold. Elephants care for each other & take care of each other just like my family. The mature female Elephant leads the herd, & people are always saying I’m mature & a leader so I think I was supposed to be an Elephant. Plus Mom, I love playing in mud & water, & so do elephants.

What is Gwen's favorite outdoor activity?

Gwen loves camping! With camping, comes Adventuring! She becomes a wild child for the entire camping trip. Fully emerging herself in nature. She brings her paleontologist kit & looks for fossils. Plays in the dirt, & water, & just sits in stillness listening. She loves learning about new terrain & what type of critters live there, & how they survive. She has taught us so much about the world we live in & the creatures we share it with.
