What does Greyson love most about nature?

Grey is a curious little guy. He was a 3lb preemie at birth and I think as a result, he always looks out for the little guy. The smallest creatures captivate him - songbirds, garter snakes, insects. He loves exploring our yard and planting native butterfly gardens and pollinator homes, owl boxes and birdhouses, and maintaining habitats for local species. He raised $500 for a wild bird rescue in Florida that was damaged during Hurricane Milton last year. He has a big heart and wants to help!

What is Greyson's favorite animal—and why?

Greyson loves owls. They are mysterious and clever. He spends hours each week drawing different owls and learning about their life cycle and behaviors. He built an owl box in our backyard along the river that attracts mostly red squirrels, but we hope one day a western screech owl will discover the box and make a nest.

What is Greyson's favorite outdoor activity?

Grey loves camping with his family in the desert and mountains of Western Colorado, rafting on the Roaring Fork River, biking trails, and identifying birds along the way! He also loves dinosaurs (which modern birds evolved from), so searching for dinosaur tracks and fossils in western Colorado and Utah is also a favorite outdoor activity
