Receive Text UpdatesIn preschool, G wanted to be a geologist and now as a 5th grader she wants to be either a geologist or a Park Ranger. She loves finding new rocks and looking for evidence of animals in nature. She was enraptured by a recent trip to Carlsbad Caverns, where she pepper the rangers with questions and read all the signs describing the geological formations. The experience reinforced her love of geology and she hopes to work at Carlsbad Caverns one day!
If she had to choose only one companion, animal or human, her companion would be an animal. Genevieve feels a deep bond with all animals she encounters. Her favorite animals are dogs and their close relative the wolves. They are beautiful creatures that work together to survive in a range of conditions. Their survival depends on their ability to work as a pack.
G is most at home in nature, whether reading in her hammock or taking a hike. But her favorite activity is backpacking with a friend (and parents) and exploring the creeks where we hike. Looking for rocks, building mud structures, and running through the water!
