Gavin is an avid hunter, he is devoted to heading up the mountain at 2AM just to get to see the sun rise over the TREMENDOUS landscape we have here in Sun Valley, Idaho, before the hunting day begins. Gavin has a deep love for the outdoors and a natural sense of adventure. Whether he's hiking through the mountain trails, setting up deer camp under the stars or exploring the forests looking for critters with his dog "Ruby" by his side, Gavin is happiest outside; playing hockey, baseball & hunting
He couldn't choose between a Gorilla because they are "so strong and furry", or an Elk because they are "so mysterious".
Scouting the mountain side, hunting and hiking with his dad, "Red" Rooney. Last year, together they brought down a 6x6 Bull Elk archery hunting making Pope & Young Record at 373". He can't wait to get out there and be among those amazing creatures again this fall.
