Gatsby is a super fun, loving child who is autistic. His super power is knowledge about marine biology, and his love of Orcas.
Thank you for generously supporting Gatsby in this year’s competition. Your participation helps empower the National Wildlife Federation in their mission to protect wildlife, restore habitats, and inspire the next generation of conservationists.
What is Jr. Ranger?
Learn moreHe is so intrigued by how complex our ecosystem is in the PNW and how everything cohabitates together in diversity! He loves how even the weirdest and smallest things have purpose and a place.
Orcas! Gatsby has been hyperfixated on Orcas since he was 2 1/2 years old. Disney Plus has a whale documentary on there, and it was the one animal that would get him to stop and learn. Since then he hasn’t grown out of this and has diversified to learn about their way of life and the different animals that interact with them! We even go whale watching once a year in Anacortes, WA so he can see them in person.
Gatsby loves camping at Salt Creek Recreation Area, in Port Angeles, Washington. He also loves hiking and exploring the tide pools here in Bellingham. Or just being that typical kiddo that loves throwing rocks on the shore line with his brother.
