What is Jr. Ranger?
Learn moreOur son loves to camp and explore the different areas of the North Carolina mountains, including waterfalls. He enjoys watching the leaves change colors and seeing animals in their natural habitat. When we were in the Grand Tetons, Finn loved visiting the elk refuge. At Yellowstone, he got to see bison everywhere! Also, a mama moose, her baby, and the bull moose all together (from a distance of course).
Finn’s favorite animal is the boa constrictor because he loves snakes. He thinks snakes are beautiful and help our ecosystem. He also loves snakes for their medicinal properties, such as their use to prevent blood clots and potential cancer treatments for us humans.
Finn’s favorite outdoor activity is to explore the mountains and try to find waterfalls. A few years ago, prior to Hurricane Helene, we explored Chimney Rock, NC. Finn got to see the waterfall filmed in the movie Last of the Mohicans. He also loves living near the NC coast in Wilmington, NC. Finn enjoys exploring the ICW and seeing the dolphins and other marine life in their natural habitat.
