What is Jr. Ranger?
Learn moreEver since Finn was a year old he has been fascinated by animals. He especially loves prehistoric animals and reptiles. He is interested in learning about how animals evolved into what they are today and ways in which he can help them survive a changing planet. He is also intrigued by his own pets and the design and building of fish enclosures and other pet terrariums. His goal is to travel to all 63 of the USA’s national parks and become a junior ranger in every one!
Finn has so many favorites it is hard to choose just one animal. One of his current favorites is the crayfish. He currently has two blue crayfish as pets, Blue and Beta. He loves to watch them molt and crawl around in the aquarium that he built for them. Ever since he was little he has loved the rhino. He loves learning about the conservation efforts underway to help these mighty giants.
Finn has many favorite outdoor activities but the one he loves most is traveling to different national parks and park sites, learning about them and earning his junior ranger badge at each one. His favorite park that he has traveled to so far is Acadia National Park. While there he was able to learn about lobster fishing and got to go on a boat and pull up a trap! He also did a lot of hiking through the woods and loved seeing various animals including chipmunks and seals off of the coast.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Jr. Ranger, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
