Ezra loves that nature is full of surprises. Every rock, tree, or tidepool hides something new to discover. He’s fascinated by the endless creatures he can learn about and experience firsthand, and he's always curious about how each one plays a role in the ecosystem. Nature is where he feels happiest. It’s where he learns, explores, and feels deeply connected to the world around him.
Right now, Ezra is fascinated by the desert rain frog. He loves how it breaks the mold by laying eggs on land, skipping the tadpole stage, and making a cute squeak instead of a croak. He’s amazed that such a small creature can be so unique and important. He’s been telling everyone about it and says it's one reason he wants to be a herpetologist and hopes to discover a new species one day.
Ezra’s favorite thing to do is explore the forests, rivers, and tidepools of Oregon. He’s often found flipping over rocks and logs to discover insects, amphibians, and reptiles. He’s always up for an adventure and loves the thrill of finding new critters, like spotting a horny toad in the Grand Canyon. Rain or shine, he’s outside roaming and picking up litter to help keep nature clean and safe for wildlife.
