Learn moreShe loves to be one with nature. Is that a river? She’s hopping in. A tree stump? Gotta climb it. Puddle of mud? It’s splash time! And because she’s so tuned in, she discovers things that most people miss. The little things, like a ladybug or an unusual rock. Every hike is her own personal scavenger hunt — part adventure, part treasure quest — and she can’t wait to share her finds with everyone.
She truly loves and protects all animals. Even ants — she lets them crawl on her arm as she lovingly coos at them. Past favorite animals have included monkeys, butterflies and bears. Right now, she says lions are her favorite “because they roar and they run super fast.” She doesn’t go anywhere without her lion stuffie, Pumpkin. Like any good mama lion, she’s protective of her cub — “you have to ask before you pet her!” — and makes sure she gets plenty of snuggles and blueberries.
In her words: “Hiking! I love seeing the different kinds of flowers and smelling them. And sometimes there are beetles! And squirrels. The squirrels run around like this. (Runs around the room, flailing her arms.) And I also like going to the tidepools and seeing all the animals. One time there was a starfish! And I saw a dolphin! Mommy, you thought it was a shark, but it wasn’t. (Shakes head matter-of-factly.) It was definitely a dolphin.”
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Jr. Ranger, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
