What does Everett love most about nature?

In Everett’s words, “Being in nature makes the world feel special.” This kid lights up when he is outside just doing his thing. He loves helping animals and asked to share the story of how he had “the special eye” and found a baby hummingbird in our backyard, cared for it throughout the night and drove it to a special rehabilitation center just for birds. Outside he can be gentle and he can be wild and I think in that freedom is where he thrives.

What is Everett's favorite animal—and why?

Everett said his favorite animals are Whales - because they are one of the biggest most mysterious creatures on our planet. When he was 3 Everett met a beluga whale at the aquarium and has had a passion for them ever since. Some of the facts he spits out I wonder where he learns them, but he watches all the animal documentaries and loves asking questions!

What is Everett's favorite outdoor activity?

“I like to explore! Hiking, looking for insects and my cutie blue spotted caterpillars!” Everett has a keen eye on trails and is constantly stopping to investigate a fungus or turn over a log. Always has rocks and findings in his pockets. He loves exploring our creek in his water shoes looking for snakes, fish, frogs and crayfish. While it’s rare that Everett ever sits still, sometimes I catch him sitting on a rock in the middle of the creek taking it all in. His love of nature is contagious.
