If we are talking about extinct animals it would be all the dinosaurs. He can name so many by scientific names, and periods of time. He wants to study them and learn about their lives to prevent extinction to extant animals. If we are talking about extant animals he loves alligators because how closely they are related to the dinosaurs. Also, birds because of their direct relations to dinosaurs. He is on a birding team who competes. The diversity of birds and identifying them keeps him intrigued
Hiking and exploring are his favorite activity. We take a water backpack with snacks and binoculars. In his pack is usually a map, bird identifying book and he is equipped with our phone to identify plants, rocks, and animals.
