What is Jr. Ranger?
Learn moreThough the boisterous and defiant youngest child, Ellis is a secret caregiver. He loves taking care of his plants (with varying degrees of success — RIP to many) and has a genuine tenderness for farm animals. I think he relishes both the opportunity and responsibility to care for others and be the “big brother” to the wildlife around him.
Currently: pigs because they’re smart, sweet, and remind him of Babe. We listen to that soundtrack a lot. He also loves cats and desperately wants one (but we are sadly allergic!)
Checking on his “garden” (and accompanying gnomes) and rock scrambling. He does appreciate a good lie down, though, so you can often catch him sunning himself like a cat. In gray Seattle, you learn to take all the sun you can get.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Jr. Ranger, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
