Ellie is endlessly fascinated by insects and loves exploring the tiny worlds beneath leaves and logs. Whether it’s watching ants build tunnels, gently holding a caterpillar, or letting a cicada crawl on her face, she’s always eager to learn more. She asks to watch nature documentaries and enjoys identifying bugs in the backyard. For Ellie, nature is a magical adventure full of discovery—and insects are her favorite part!
Ellie loves moths because they’re like hidden treasures of the night. She’s fascinated by their fuzzy bodies, delicate wings, and the way they flutter gently toward light. She thinks it’s amazing how some look like leaves or have secret patterns to stay safe. Moths feel magical to her—beautiful, mysterious, and often overlooked. She says they’re like nighttime butterflies, and she loves that they come out when the world is quiet, just waiting to be discovered.
Ellie’s favorite outdoor adventure is exploring the creek in our backyard. She loves wading through the water to catch salamanders, gently observing them before letting them go. She’s always on the lookout for interesting wildlife and gets excited discovering the unique flowers that grow along the banks. Every trip to the creek is a new exploration for her, filled with curiosity, muddy hands, and wide-eyed wonder at the beauty and surprises nature has to offer.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Jr. Ranger, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
