What is Jr. Ranger?
Learn moreElla loves the birth or rebirth that she experiences in nature. She loves the many lambs we have and the farm babies. She loves to see the sun rise. She examines the buds on the trees and flowers. Babies of all kinds fascinate her. From the snapping turtle that lays eggs in the fence row to the tiny rabbits and birds that are protected on hay mowing day. She sees beauty in a world that many people can’t recognize at all.
Her favorite animal is all of them but she has a strong connection to her dogs. She has four and spends time with each of them every day. If she is feeling sad or emotional, you will always see her hugging a dog and confiding in it. It is impossible to say that one is her favorite though because she loves the kittens, horses, cows, sheep, insects, chickens, even the black widow spider that she recently found. The love for the dogs might be stronger because so much time is spent with them.
It’s extremely difficult to pick a single activity. She spends a lot of time outdoors going on walks is most likely one of the things that she loves the most. She notices the smallest changes from day to day. The new ant hills, the squirrels nest getting bigger and the new and different birds as the weather warms. She is thrilled to find a new flower or a tadpole in the mud hole. She sees this world with eyes of wonder.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Jr. Ranger, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
