I love how everything in nature is connected. I’ve always loved animals—not just my rescues, Molly and Rooster, but all creatures. At a marine aquarium, I got to hold a horseshoe crab and learned they’ve been around for millions of years! Nature makes me curious and excited to learn. I like to observe and ask questions. Being outside makes me feel calm, brave, and part of something bigger.
My favorite animal is the fennec fox because they are smart, cute, and small. They’re little tricksters! We don’t have them around us, but I get to see them at Wild Adventures. They’re the smallest wild canid in the world, and they purr like cats when they’re happy. Even though they’re nocturnal, they love sunbathing. They’re great climbers and can dig up to 20 feet. Their tail even has a gland that makes a musky smell when they’re scared!
My favorite outdoor activity is playing and exploring in my backyard with my little sister and friends. We search for bugs, climb trees, build forts, and create little houses, cities, and hotels for the bugs we find. It’s so fun to see how creative we can be and learn about the little creatures that live around us!
