What is Jr. Ranger?
Learn moreWhat Elizabeth loves most about nature is the plants & animals. She loves studying different types of trees & learning how the animals live in them. She also loves finding as many animals, insects & bugs as she can so she can identify them & learn more. Once she learns about them, she remembers how to preserve their habits, what they eat & how she can do her part in keeping all things in nature alive & thriving.
Elizabeth’s favorite animal is a koala. She loves that they eat bamboo, have pouches to carry their babies & that they climb really high. She also loves how adorable they are with their fluffy ears & cute round noses!
Elizabeth’s favorite outdoor activity is foraging for plants. While foraging she will learn if a plant is edible or not & she is not shy to try the ones she can eat! She loves to find new plants in backyards & on nature walks. She often learns how to grow new plants that are friendly to animals so she can do her part in growing & preserving habits/helping pollinators. She is always excited when she finds some wild watercress, honeysuckle or mint! She even has her own herbs & plant hut at home!
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Jr. Ranger, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
