Eli has loved all animals since he could crawl. He makes his own books about animals/facts. His favorite books are Nat Geo and Smithsonian.

Elijah loves that there’s always something to see & explore - from the sky to a blade of grass. He’s always looking to the trees for the bald eagles and falcons that live near our home and rolling up his pants to wade in the creek that runs through a park by our house. He enjoys learning, and teaching others, about the unique features each creature has that enable them to survive, thrive, and adapt in their habitats.
When I asked Elijah this question, his response to me was “my favorite in which class of animal, mom?”. It was really difficult for him to narrow it down to his ultimate favorite between the classes but, of them all, he chose the Gaboon Viper. When I asked what is it about the Gaboon Viper that makes it his favorite, he said: -It has the longest fangs of any venomous snake. -its head is shaped like a triangle and it’s got horns between its nostrils (so cool) -its pattern camouflages with leaves
Elijah’s favorite outdoor activity is exploring. He loves to go on walks, especially at our local state park, to see the variety of wildlife, animals and plants alike. We are blessed to live in an area so rich in nature where there is so much to learn about animals, from the great lakes to the trees. For the past 2 summers, he has participated in an outdoor survivor camp for kids where they fish, kayak, make paracord bracelets, and learn about local wildlife. If there’s animals, Eli is ALL IN!!
