He has always been a respectful observer and has grown into quite the protector- vocalizing the importance of being a good steward-taking care of our world and all the creatures that live here.He loves watching birds and always notices the tiniest bugs. He is a Florida boy so also loves when we run into alligators and crocodiles on our hikes down here.
Right now, he says the Florida Panther is his favorite. He will tell anyone that will listen that they there are only about 200 left in the wild. He thinks they are special because they only live in Florida, they are beautiful, powerful and he says it's interesting that unlike some of the other big cats -they are among the few that can't roar. But, the Burrowing Owl is also special to him since there is one and his mate literally living in his front yard. Talk about a front seat to nature!
Outside is his favorite place to be. He likes hiking, climbing,exploring. He has hiked through Cypress swamps-waist deep in water, he has walked the barren Badlands of South Dakota, meandered through pine forests and up mountains, mountain climbed shaggy rock pinnacles, explored the Rocky Mountains and the Black Hills. He had fossil hunted in alligator inhabited waters. This kid is always up for any adventure. But he also especially loves good old fort building and climbing trees.
