What Delaney loves most about nature is the unexpected. How surprises await around every corner of a hike, like a little lizard crossing the path, a bird swooping down to catch a bug, or a fish jumping out of the water; all the interesting and unpredictable things that animals do.
Delaney’s favorite animal is the duck-billed platypus. Besides it being adorable, she loves its uniqueness. The platypus is a great example of how strange and different things can be extraordinary.
Delaney’s favorite outdoor activity is kayaking because she is fully immersed in nature instead of observing it from afar. She can exert more effort to move along if the sea is rough or relax and glide along if the lake is calm; watching how the aquatic life responds is one of her favorite things.
