Learn moreHe loves the outdoors because it’s where his imagination runs wild and his spirit feels free. From building forts deep in the woods behind our home to climbing anything in sight—rocks, trees, or playgrounds—he’s constantly seeking new adventures. Our trips to national parks fuels his curiosity, giving him a deep appreciation for nature’s beauty and the excitement of the unknown. Whether he’s forging trails or inventing new worlds with sticks and stones, the great outdoors is where he finds joy.
Colton loves penguins. We’ve only seen them at the zoo, but he is determined to see these animals in real life. He loves the way they wobble to and fro and how they slide on the ice. Colton says, “that sounds fun to slide all day!”
One of his favorite outdoor adventures is building forts in the woods behind our home. With a wild imagination and a hands-on spirit, he can turn sticks, logs, and leaves into epic hideouts and secret bases. Rain, mud, or sunshine, he dives into the dirt with excitement, fully immersed in the challenge and joy of creating something from nature. It’s more than just play — it’s his way of connecting with the land, building confidence, and living out bold adventures right in our backyard.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Jr. Ranger, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
