Receive Text UpdatesCasey has a unique understanding of how species are interconnected for his age. He cares about conservation and pollution. He enjoys the adventure but also has a deep respect for nature, and his most favorite thing is watching things grow.
Casey’s favorite animal is an octopus. He is very interested in their intelligence and hunting skills. He likes to read about them and all of the different species including the blue ringed octopus which is small but deadly! For his 6th birthday he asked me for a pet octopus - he had to settle for the most realistic plush I could find. He sleeps with it!
It is hard to pick! But he likes hiking and species identification. For example he likes the mushroom with his uncle and this spring break when given the choice of going to the ocean or desert, he picked the desert. We bought a cactus identification book and found a lot. He also likes to collect treasures like cactus fruits, feathers, or rocks from the ground when on a hike. We went troll hunting last fall in Detroit Lakes (Thomas Dambo trolls) and he was in heaven!
