What is Jr. Ranger?
Learn more“Just playing, exploring and adventure. I like flowers, trees, birds and looking for animals and animal tracks.” Bridger loves the fresh air of the outdoors rain, sleet, snow or shine! We are proud to have nurtured his sense of wonder and connection with the natural world and that he finds the beauty in it and our togetherness.
“Just one? Moose, I like calling them in. I really like their big noses. I also like to eat them. I also like Bears; I like their big claws and watching them eat fish. And wolves; I like to hear them howl.” Bridger loves to learn about plants and animals. He has learned about animal habitats, diets, what their tracks look like, and even how to imitate some of their calls. He is also learning about being a good steward of these resources and being prepared for the outdoors and weather changes.
“I like camping, fishing and hunting with my family and trapping with my dad. “ Bridger’s first fishing trip was at 10 days old, his first moose hunting trip was in a baby carrier. Now that he is bigger he is participating with joy and is truly the epitome of a JR - Ranger. The outdoors has sparked his imagination and he has a genuine eagerness in learning about the environment, our subsistence lifestyle and conservation in our home of Alaska.
