Since “B” was little she has always been enthusiastic about being outside, going on hikes, and finding “treasures”!
Thank you for generously supporting Brantley in this year’s competition. Your participation helps empower the National Wildlife Federation in their mission to protect wildlife, restore habitats, and inspire the next generation of conservationists.
What is Jr. Ranger?
Learn moreBrantley has always had a knack for finding “treasures” in nature. Whether it’s a colorful flower, a uniquely shaped leaf, animal tracks in the mud, or an interesting rock, she collects each one with wonder and curiosity. Her favorite way to hunt for these treasures is by hiking or riding ATVs through the woods, where every turn brings a new discovery.
Brantley’s favorite animal is the elk—she says they’re “big and oh-so-beautiful!” With family in South Dakota, she’s always on the lookout during visits, turning every outdoor adventure into a fun challenge to see how many elk she can count. Spotting one never fails to light up her face with excitement.
Brantley’s favorite way to spend time outdoors is by hiking and riding her bike. Most afternoons after school, you’ll find her pedaling through our local state park, cruising along the water with a big smile on her face. She loves to hop off for an occasional swim or a hike through the woods, always on the lookout for something new to explore. This past Christmas, she even asked Santa for a basket on the front of her bike—perfect for collecting the little “treasures” she finds along the way.
