Brahm comes alive when he gets to talk or learn about animals. He could name so many animals before he could count or say his ABCs.
Thank you for generously supporting Brahm in this year’s competition. Your participation helps empower the National Wildlife Federation in their mission to protect wildlife, restore habitats, and inspire the next generation of conservationists.
What is Jr. Ranger?
Learn moreBiggest love, is being able to see/observe the animals. Big plus is if he can hold them! He enjoys learning about the animals; are they venomous or poisonous. Do they rely on camouflage to survive? What do they eat? These are questions he asks.
Truly impossible to say his *favorite* animal. I think he loves all animals, but right now, he is REALLY into reptiles, especially snakes. He is particularly fascinated by king cobras and their ability to spit their venom too.
Fresh water fishing (we are a catch and release family), turtle and salamander "hunting". Which just means we either kayak into the cove and try and catch turtles on the logs and check them for leeches. Or pulling up logs and rocks to look for salamanders (and worms). We also go to our local botanical garden and try to find all the local animals we can, from the frogs, turtles, birds, squirrels, and chipmunks. That is one of our favorite summer/fall activities.
