Bethany devours Ranger Rick magazines, Bear Grylls Survival guides, & loves camping. She can tell you about pangolins, axolotls, etc. :)

What is Jr. Ranger?
Learn moreShe says that she loves observing baby animals the most. We have a bunny family living in our backyard that seeks protection in our wood pile, near our compost pile, and under our trampoline. She likes to gather dandelions for them. Bethany also created a small bird journal a couple years back where she draws various types of birds and labels them. Her and her brother have named some of the squirrels in our yard (Prince Nuttifer, Princess Nutmeg, King Nut, Queen Nuttiana, etc).
Her favorite animal is a polar bear because “they are adorable and the babies have the cutest little black eyes, and it’s like their trying to say that they love you.”
Playing “fairy garden” at school by making pretend fairies mushroom soup (with real mushrooms that they find), squishing little berries to make them “applesauce”, and using acorn caps as dishes to serve the fairies’ food in. She also likes jumping on the trampoline with her brother as they observe birds, bunnies, squirrels, and insects.
