Learn moreHis favorite thing about nature is looking for different animals when we go on our Geocaching or Rock-Hunting adventures, recently while looking for a Geocache on a mountain he noticed an eagles nest in a huge tree just below the cliff face and immediately decided that we have to go back to see the adorable eaglets once they hatch out.
He loves all the big cats because he says it’s amazing how they are so similar yet have each developed their own unique coloration and pattern to blend in with their specific environments, he finds it fascinating how they each hunt their prey in such different ways, the cougar from above, the cheetah with pure speed and the lion pride using pack tactics.
Ben’s favorite outdoor activity would be a toss between rock hunting and geocaching, but he says geocaching wins by “just a tiny bit”. He loves to see the different places that people considered special enough to hide a cache in. So many caches have led us to amazing beaches, waterfalls and scenic views. He likes to keep track of which new animals he sees and if possible he takes photos of them.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Jr. Ranger, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
