Bear lives up to his name with a zest for adventure, nature, animals and exploring whether he is at our farm, local park or wetlands.
Thank you for generously supporting Bear in this year’s competition. Your participation helps empower the National Wildlife Federation in their mission to protect wildlife, restore habitats, and inspire the next generation of conservationists.
What is Jr. Ranger?
Learn moreBear loves to watch animals in their natural habitats, dig to find all colors and shapes of stones, follow bugs and toads to their homes. He likes to learn names of trees & plants when we visit national parks. He likes to see lots of colors in nature at different times of the day. Clouds are cool too.
Bear likes all kinds of animals, but Jaguars are his favorite because they are spotted to hide in nature. Jaguars are the larger than his cat spotz who also likes to climb trees. He is happy they don't live near us because he has chickens and Spotz doesn't eat the chickens but a jaguar might.
That's tough because he says he likes to go hiking to explore the woods and likes to canoe to see water birds and turtles. He carries along a bag to pick up trash from others who forget nature doesn't like litter.
