No matter how beautiful or creepy, each species has a purpose and it is so much fun trying to figure out how each serve our planet. With every rock I flip, tree I climb, or ocean I swim in, I uncover a new world ready to be explored.
I’m not sure I have a favorite animal. I love them all! If I had to choose one to study in the wild it would be the black panther. They are very strong, stealthy, and nocturnal apex predators that have a condition called melanism that makes their fur dark. I think the rare condition that makes them black, and the fact they can be either a jaguar in the Amazon, or a leopard in Asia or Africa, would make them a challenge to find and give me the opportunity to visit many different habitats.
My favorite outdoor activity would be swimming and snorkeling. I really love watching the fish and enjoying the feeling of weightlessness. The fish are free to fly anywhere they like and I can fly along with them while I am visiting their world. I really look forward to one day getting to go scuba diving so I can fly a little longer than a single breath.
