Start Their AdventureWe have a lot of Balsam root blooming right now. I love riding my bike on the trails while the flowers tickle my legs. The smell of the lilacs and balsam root together is so magical. I also love getting to the top of a climb and looking out over the valley and wondering what all of the people are doing down below. I’m so lucky to be so high up.
The green anaconda is my favorite animal. It is very powerful and the biggest snake on earth. They can grow up to thirty feet long! I have always been fascinated with snakes, I have a ball python named Slick. When I was younger, I wanted to be a snake breeder- I tried to play a recorder to watch Slick dance. He didn’t dance and I have new dreams now. Snake breeders don’t make a lot of money and releasing snakes into the wild is not good for other native species.
I have a favorite outdoor activity for every season! In the winter, I downhill ski and Nordic ski. My Nordic ski team is the best, we play a lot of games and adventure off track into the woods. In spring, it’s climbing and mountain biking season. I work hard to keep up with my parents biking on the uphill and sometimes, I rock climb harder than them. Summer is rafting season- we do a lot of multi-day trips where we sleep under the stars and tell stories by the fire. Fall, we bike, climb and raft
