The wildlife! Protecting , education , observation, and conservation . Spanky often says "We cant save them all ,but we can try ". I usually ask "Who's all ?" And she replies "humans , animals ...just all mom ." She has worked with conservation sea turtle teams , no kill shelters and rushes to save any spider, scorpian or lizard from being smashed indoors.
Cats , because their amazing fun sized predators. Did you know feral and free-roaming cats have been implicated (but not solely) in the extinction of various species, particularly on islands. A study cited by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service indicates that feral cats have contributed to the extinction of 33 species worldwide! Wow
Swimming , hiking , bird watching, stargazing, growing food . Spanky loves it all ! She is currently learning how to grow her own food and navigate by the stars. She's part of the planetary society , so her horizons are not only beyond our doorway but beyond the stars .
