Anna lives for creatures! She even thinks slugs are “cute” and tries to keep these on her nightstand.Her favorite books are about “amiyalls”

Anna enjoys exploring every part of nature, but especially enjoys animals and insects/amphibians. I recently had to rescue a roach that was on its back because she said “that poor little roach just wants to get up-help it, mama!” Anna looks at every part of a flower, weed, or tree and even at 4 yrs. has a desire to learn the WHY behind nature. Why do cats move their tail in a swish?Why do the snails hide in their shell? Why does the moon stay up in the morning? She would live outside if possible
Anna’s favorite animals are cats (big and small) and snakes. She loves cats because they’re cute, she likes how they move their bodies to walk, run and swipe. She loves snakes because she likes how they “slither” and thinks it’s “amazing” how they move their bodies.
One of Anna’s favorite thing is to bring either stuffed cats or plastic dinosaurs outside and pretend they are going through the wild. She will find weeds or tall grass and rocks and have elaborate, immersive pretend play, pretending they are in the wild. She also loves hunting for frogs, snails, slugs, spiders, and any insect. She will let insects crawl up her arms or build a habitat for frogs with plastic containers and grass/water/rocks. We live in a swampy area so she has plenty of these!
