What is Jr. Ranger?
Learn moreWhen I asked my son Andrés what he loves most about nature, he said, “It always has secrets to discover.” He loves walking in the woods searching for arrowheads, fishing with his dad, and collecting unique rocks. He cares deeply for his pets: a bearded dragon, turtle, fish, and rabbit... and finds joy in every outdoor adventure. Nature is his happy place, his inspiration, and where he dreams of becoming a vet one day.
He said “my bearded dragon” without hesitation. He loves how unique and calm it is, and how it responds to gentle care. He’s fascinated by reptiles and how they’ve adapted over time. Taking care of his bearded dragon has taught him patience, responsibility, and how every creature: big or small, has a special role in nature.
Andrés’s favorite outdoor activity is climbing trees! He says it makes him feel like he’s part of nature... up high with the birds, juggling like a monkey.. and seeing the world from a new perspective. It’s fun, adventurous, and always a challenge he’s excited to take on. Whether he’s pretending to be an explorer or just enjoying the breeze, tree climbing is his way of connecting with the wild....
