My child has loved wildlife since he was 2, but especially Dinosaurs. He always tells me he's going to save the planet when he grows up.

What is Jr. Ranger?
Learn moreAJ loves all the different animals that our big blue and green world has to offer. His favorite species are reptiles and marine animals. He says he wants to be a paleontologist because he loves dinosaurs and everything about them, as well as a marine biologist because he loves sea creatures such as sharks and sea turtles (leatherback especially because they're the closest relative to the Archelon) He likes learning about each species and their habitats and any special or fun facts about them.
Anytime I ask this question he always says he loves them all. However he tends to talk a lot about reptiles, especially crocodiles and alligators. He likes that they look like dinosaurs but he always makes a point to say that they are not related to dinosaurs but instead related to prehistoric species such as the dinosuchus. He is a walking dinosaur/prehistoric reptile encyclopedia.
AJ's favorite outdoor activity is walking different trails or swimming at the beach or pool. I've always loved the outdoors but unfortunately I also have many phobias so AJ doesn't get to experience as much of the outdoors as he'd like. We do however go to the zoo, the aquarium, museums as much as possible and hopefully the raptor center in NC this summer.
