What is Jr. Ranger?
Learn moreDiscovering new things and trying to understand what we see. He’s already a great identifier of plants and birds and loves venturing to new areas to see what we can see. Nothing excites him more than the dream of being stranded in the wild and having to survive with just a pocket knife. His favorite book is hatchet and when he has the remote, it’s PBS specials like nature and nova he defaults to.
Though we live on a farm and he’s been training a young calf to be an oxen—he loves reptiles and amphibians and has always had an affinity for turtles and catching skinks and newts.
Though he is happy to be a part of any outdoor adventure like hiking or fishing—he particularly loves making forts and rearranging rocks in mountain streams.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Jr. Ranger, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
